Oh yes, I'm really looking forward to seeing Before Midnight! Director Richard Linklater joins forces with actor Ethan Hawke and actress Julie Delpy for the third time to portray the love story of Jesse and Celine yet again.  

P.S. Nearly choked on my tea when I saw this picture of Ethan at an event for the movie: the hair, Ethan wtf?

Heart Swells Up Which Makes Us Explode

Torstai Lontoossa valkeni aurinkoisena. Päivän suunnitelmissa oli Museum of Londonissa esillä oleva Doctors, Dissection and Resurrection Men -näyttely, ruokailu T.G.I. Friday'sissa (ne jälkiruuat ja jäätelödrinkit!) ja Foalsin keikka Royal Albert Hallissa. Museonäyttely oli ihan hyvä, mutta ehkä pienoinen pettymys, mikä johtui varmasti siitä, että olin juuri edellisellä viikolla käynyt Heurekassa katsomassa maailmankuulun Body Worlds -näyttelyn, joka oli aivan huikean upea ja äärimmäisen mielenkiintoinen (menkää, menkää katsomaan!) . Mutta tiedättekö mitä, kerrankin pääsin ulos museokaupasta (Museum of London siis) ostamatta yhtään mitään!

Mitä sitten voisin sanoa Foalsin keikasta.. se oli sen tason tajunnanräjäyttävän upea, että mitkään ylistyssanat eivät tee sille tarpeeksi oikeutta. Keikasta, ja allekirjoittaneen nestehukasta sen jälkeen, voi kuitenkin lukea tarkemman kuvauksen Alice & Junen puolella.

Foals - Red Socks Pugie

Thursday in London was quite sunny and our day's plan was to go see the "Doctors, Dissection and Resurrection Men" exhibition at Museum of London and grab a bite to eat at T.G.I. Friday's before going to Royal Albert Hall to see the Foals' matinee gig. The exhibition was quite good but maybe a bit of a let down because just a week earlier I'd gone Heureka to see the world-famous "Body Worlds" -exhibition and it was extremely interesting and so cool (go, go see it!). But you know what, for once I got out of a museum shop (Museum of London) without buying anything! 

What can I say about the Foals gig..there are no words to describe how awesome it was but you can read all about it, and my dehydrated state after it, at Alice & June.

I Ain't Ever Coming Down

Lähdimme ystävän kanssa matkaan viime keskiviikkona aamupäivällä ja saavuimme Lontoon keskustaan noin kolmen-neljän aikaan. Teimme visiitin tuohon ihanaan, mutta tungoksen osalta helvetilliseen kauppaan, jota Primarkiksikin kutsutaan. Ostoskassiin kerääntyi aivan järjetön määrä vaatteita, joista suurin osa jäi sovituksen jälkeen onneksi kauppaan. Muutaman kivan asian kiikutin kassalle asti. Seuraavaksi oli vuorossa yhdeksi ehdottomaksi suosikkipaikakseni noussut Joe & The Juice ja taivaallisen hyvät tuoreista hedelmistä silmien edessä puristetut mehut ja maukkaan rapeat täytetyt leivät. Lopulta meille tuli jo pieni kiire ehtiä illan BRMC-keikalle Brixtoniin, sillä matkalla hostellille bongasin Urban Outfittersin, jossa oli tietenkin ihan pakko käydä. Ehdimme Brixtoniin kuitenkin ennen keikan alkua ja lopun siitä tarinasta voi lukea Alice & Junen puolelta, klik klik!

A little over a week ago me and my friend got on a plane to London and spent Easter there. The first thing we did when we arrived in London was a visit to Primark. I had so many clothes in my shopping basket but luckily most of them remained in the store after I'd tried them on. I did buy a few nice things though and actually wore all of them during the trip. After shopping we grabbed a bite at one of my favorite places, Joe & The Juice, where you can get mouthwatering juices freshly squeezed right there before your eyes and tasty, crunchy sandwiches. Finally we were in a bit of a hurry to get to the BRMC gig in Brixton in the evening because on the way to our hostel I spotted an Urban Outfitters store and of course just had to go in. Luckily we arrived in Brixton on time and the rest of that story you can read on Alice & June,  click click!

Menen illalla ystävän kanssa katsomaan Minä ja Ville Ahosen keikan Jyväskylän Bar Mustaan Kynnykseen. Vaikka nämä kuvat eivät liity kyseiseen bändiin millään lailla, saavat ne nyt olla seurana Pieni Hauta nimiselle kappaleelle. Molemmissa on tiettyä samanlaista melankolisuutta.

Tonight I'm going to see Minä ja Ville Ahonen play at Bar Musta Kynnys in Jyväskylä. While these photos are totally unrelated to the band, nevertheless they will accompany the song "Pieni Hauta" (small grave). I think these photos have that same sort of melancholy that the song has.
