Matka Berliiniin ei ole matka eikä mikään, jos siihen ei sisälly urbaania löytöretkeilyä. Tällä kertaa urbaani löytöretkeily ei kuitenkaan mennyt lainkaan suunnitelmien mukaan. Meidän oli tarkoitus matkustaa Rangsdorfin vanhalle lentokentälle, mutta emme päässeet kovinkaan pitkälle. Nousimme junaan, joka päästyään seuraavalle asemalle aloittikin välittömästi matkan takaisin lähtöpisteeseen. Junia oli peruttu ratatöiden vuoksi sun muuta vastaavaa, mitä ei tietenkään kerrottu kuin saksaksi aseman ilmoitustaululla. Emme jaksaneet ruveta selvittämään uutta reittiä, joten vaihdoimme suunnitelmaa lennosta ja vierailimme hylätyllä ratapihalla, jolla minä olin jo kolmisen vuotta sitten käynyt (I, II). Alue oli osittain jo vedetty matalaksi, mutta joitain rakennuksia oli vielä pystyssä. En tiedä mitä alueelle tulevaisuudessa tapahtuu, mutta näytti siltä, että jotain uutta vanhan ja rapistuneen tilalle ollaan rakentamassa.
No trip to Berlin is complete without urban exploring. This time it didn't go at all as planned. We were meaning to go the abandoned airport in Rangsdorf and boarded a train but after getting to the first stop/station the train just went back to where it had left from. Apparently there were some constructions on the tracks and the normal route had been canceled. This information could only be found on a noticeboard at the station. We didn't have the energy to find an alternative way to get to Rangsdorf as it's about hour away from Berlin so we changed plans. We visited an old abandoned railyard I'd actually been to three years earlier (I, II). A lot had already been demolished by a construction crew but a few buildings were still standing. I don't know what they're planning to do with the place in the future.
